Longshore is a 5800 yard par 69 course with a 68.8 rating. This stunning course feels like a private golf club with fabulous amenities like a tricked out Pro Shop, expert Golf Instruction, and the fabulous restaurant, Pearl, at the Inn at Longshore. Be aware: non-residents may make tee time reservations Monday-Thursday only.

H. Smith Richardson is a beautiful and challenging course located in Greenfield Hill. This 6600+ yards par 72/73 Championship Golf Course offers lessons and junior events, too. Kit yourself out at Alexander’s Golf Shop before your round and after your game sidle up to the bar at Brennan’s Shebeen for a drink and a casual bite to eat. On Father’s Day from 10-2 they’re hosting a Callaway Golf Demo Day on the driving range.

Carl Dickman Par 3, known to residents as South Pine Creek, is a great place to take newbie golfers. The inexpensive greens fees ($12 for residents on Sat-Sun & Holidays) offers a short course (1240 yards long, par 27), low pressure, no frills environment.

Fairchild Wheeler has two challenging 18 hole golf courses: the Red Golf Course is a 6,568 yards par 72 course which demands accurate tee shots and has a 71.0 course rating; and the Black Golf Course, a 6,559 yards par 71 course, has a newly renovated fairway, boasts picturesque views, and has a course rating of 71.5. Additionally it is the home to the terrific children’s golf school– First Tee of Metropolitan New York– and the Nike Junior Summer Golf Camps. Start at their Golf Shop, then hit the driving range and after 9 holes pop into Vazzy’s snack bar. After your round enjoy a casual meal at Tommy’s Grill (open year round).
