Doris Knows – The Gift of the Gab, Happy St. Patrick’s Day

One of the things I absolutely love about being a realtor is chatting with my clients and really getting to know them while I introduce them to our beautiful town of Westport and greater Fairfield County. It’s this genuine connection that cements our relationship; in fact we still remain friends years after they have moved into their homes.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Emerald Isle once with my family. I was so struck by their  friendly nature and hosptality. It was a fabulous trip.

Visiting the Guiness brewery in Dublin with my husband and stepson.

Here I am with my Guiness mustache!

This St. Patrick’s Day if you’re looking for a little of that Irish hospitality here in Fairfield County try these lively pubs.

Little Pub

A fun atmosphere, terrific menu (the “Little Pub Poutine” is insanely good – crispy french fries, cheddar jack, chopped bacon, roasted chicken gravy, YUM!), and a huge selection of beer, not just the usual suspects. This is a great spot for St. Patrick’s Day cheer.

The fireplaces and cozy nooks create a genuine Irish pub atmosphere that brings you back to the Emerald Isle. Their menu is ooey, gooey and delicious – feast on their Cheese Dip and Wedges and wash it down with a pint of Guiness.

Gaelic American Club

St. Patrick’s Day at the GAC is “class” as they say in Ireland. The live Irish music and Irish Step Dancers with transport you back to Ireland. (Not a member? Befriend someone Irish immediately!)
